How we calculate Attento score

BRAKING

Hard braking refers to a sudden and significant decrease in vehicle speed, often indicative of abrupt stops or emergencies. Hard braking is characterised by drop in vehicle’s speed in excess of 0.3g or about 10 kmph, in one second.

SPEEDING

Excessive speeding occurs when the vehicle surpasses the designated speed limit for a given road or driving condition. It is defined as exceeding the posted speed limit for extended periods.

ACCELERATION

Rapid acceleration refers to a swift increase in vehicle speed, often associated with aggressive overtaking manoeuvre or a fast start from an idle position such as traffic lights or toll booths. It is characterized by acceleration exceeding a threshold of 0.3g or about 10 kmph per second.

VIOLATIONS

Traffic violations encompass a range of infractions, including illegal entries into one-way roads or illegal u-turns, speeding through hospital and school zones and many more.

TURNS

Sharp turns occur when the vehicle makes a rapid change in direction, typically at high speeds or with a narrow turning radius. They are often characterised by a turn angle of greater than 20 degrees per second.
